Guests don't mind

Why? There is nothing wrong in having a small registry service and scooting off to the honeymoon.

Perception of weddings is that everyone needs to throw a huge shebang! That's not the case. Your guests are witness to your marriage, your vowes and your promises to one another.

 

I do not believe every woman out there does not want to swoop down the aisle in her vintage prom dress or her cinderella gown. As a wedding planner I understand that everyone has their own ceremonies and religious beliefs. And the bride has her own ideas, but no wedding is not something I can accustom myself to.

 

Most people feel they are blissfully happy without changing their name.
