{Exquisite Bridal Wear} Raishma through the years - the evolution of design

I would like to warmly welcome a wonderful, revolutionary bridal designer whose work inspires many and fills the hearts of brides-to-be all over the world and back. Raishma is a British-Asian Bridal designer whose focus and whose identity is through ‘Fusion’ designs. Her work has been worn on celebrities, she has featured in many publications as well as TV media and is a remarkable pioneer in her industry.

Raishma’s service is next to none, each bridal outfit is a “couture piece of the highest quality fabrics, finishing, design and fit.” Each piece is a decadent artwork of finery and beautifully hand stitched embroidery. Owning a gown from Raishma is a real honour.

Much like any designer across any industry we see changes in their style and over the years we watch them grow. Raishma is one designer who has developed and matured and really made her mark within such a competitive industry; where new ideas and new ground breaking styles are demanded from each season.

Beginning her journey in Wembley with her first flagship store in 1998, Raishma had merged into bridal gown designs through her clientele and her passion for what she does best. Since the opening of this store, Raishma’s unique Fusion branding has taken off and she really has established a name that is high end and in demand.

Raishma has taken some time out to take us through her designs and the changes in her style from 2003 to 2011 and beyond. Take a look at each of her designs and imagine them elegantly walking down a catwalk. Utterly Lush!

Pink outfit 2003; “The powder pink chiffon jacket and bias cut skirt, with a silk corset bodice were very fusion and versatile to wear. The jacket could be worn after the wedding with any separates. This look was very popular in the store at the time.”

White gown 2004; “I designed a white bridal collection to show in New York that year, and this was one of them. I was very proud of the quality of the cut and silks that we used in this gown, and I felt the standard of our couture gowns had been surpassed with this collection.”

Blue outfit 2005; “I designed a whole collection based around the jamavar silk in this stunning peacock shade after being inspired by the gold and blue colour scheme. This outfit was very fashion forward for bridal wear at that time, with a layered skirt and corset, with a separate asymmetric cut away dress on top.”

Ivory outfit 2011; “This stunning vintage gown is from our current collection. The dress has a hand embroidered bolero, and the delicate and intricate embroidery is a key detail associated with the brand.”

The Future ...
For the coming years, Raishma will continue to bring her bright spark to each of her couture pieces, with intricacy and immense detail, her designs will only inspire even more Brides and create the perfect setting for a newly wedded couple. Bride's look like royalty in a hand made Raishma Gown and well, the Groom's will be mesmerised.

Raishma's talent is effervescent, it seeks attention at its perfection and delicacy. If only you could be a bride everyday!

A little treat, one of Raishma’s Fusion Bridal Designs Fashion Show at the Asian Wedding Exhibition 2011.
