{Inspiration} Wedding Invitation

Happy Monday readers!! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, I was lucky enough to spare some time and pop down to Trafalgar Square yesterday for the Chinese New Year Parade and celebrations. I was far too trigger happy as my camera's 16G memory card was almost full. It was a beautiful day full of performances, dance routines, martial arts, parades, plenty of Dragons and so much more.. It was wonderful being a part of the day's festivities. But anywho ... Back to lovely weddings ......

Today's post is simply but surely opening your eyes to some pretty great and different Wedding Invitations. So many styles to choose from - there is no need to choose one you have already seen before.

It never quite amazes me how different the floods of wedding invitations I receive are. They come in different shapes and sizes, designs and colours, pop up or information wallets and laser cut to handmade with elaborate jewels.

Your Wedding invitation says a lot about you and your wedding. It makes a statement, and is almost like a sneak peek into the wedding itself. Save the dates, wedding invitations, place cards, menu’s should all me kept to the same theme, font, colours etc. Consistency is a necessity and your guests will remember the whole journey far better from the moment they received your invitations to the wedding day itself. It’s a definite psychology.

Here are some pretty great, retro and different wedding invitations that will draw a smile from any guest. Wedding stationary is easy to customise, you just need to find the write stationary supplier who matches the ethos you are going for.

These two are pretty and funny, depending on your personalities, your guests, your themes - these are all things you should take into consideration.

This one has a very Vintage or Western  feel - so if it suits then go for it.

This one is gorgeous, I know there are a few brides who will fall over just looking at this. If anything it makes a statement.

These two are just classic examples of how creative you can get. The one to the right is most probably my favourite. You just give your guests a little piece of what they can expect at your wedding and you will notice how many RSVP's and funny phone calls and emails you will receive.

Intricate Creations specialise in contemporary, bespoke laser-cut wedding stationery for the sophisticated, style-conscious couples of today. Our couture designs fuse the cultural richness of the East with the chic glamour of the West to form a new, unique trend that is guaranteed to take the industry by storm.

Your wedding stationery should make a statement to your guests… about you, about your personality, and more importantly, about one of the most memorable days of your life. We aim for perfection and attention to detail is key to achieving this. That's why when you choose Intricate Creations as your wedding stationery supplier, you are hiring your very own personal designer.

We understand the need to be flexible with designs, colours and pretty much anything to do with preparing for your big day, and with over 170 card types and colours, a rainbow of crystal colours and a variety of unique stationery styles, Intricate Creations is sure to have something for every bride and groom-to-be. Our motto here at Intricate Creations is “Anything is Possible”.

Founded and established by a newly married young couple who themselves struggled to find their 'perfect' wedding stationery, we provide many unique off-the-shelf designs, in addition to a bespoke service to create one-off sets. Intricate Creations cater to both ends of the financial spectrum. We understand that times are hard and we will always try to accommodate our clients' budget. Nothing at Intricate Creations is set in stone and all of our designs are customisable.

Our unique laser cut wedding invitations also have co-ordinated Save the Dates, Day and Evening Invitations, RSVPs, Place Cards, Menus, Table Numbers/Names, Table Plans, Thank You Cards, Gift Tags and even Cupcake Wrappers for every invite. All designs come with matching envelopes and personalised printed inserts, made to fit your own colour scheme. All wedding stationery items can be ordered quickly and easily online now.

Let Intricate Creations help you: Design. Create. Innovate.

TIPS BY INTRICATE CREATIONS:

Tip 1. Be open to suggestions from those close to you. Friends and family can often give great ideas that one would normally not think of.

Tip 2. Intricate Creations love telling a story with our stationery. From the first impression of the invitations or Save the Date cards, all the way through to the day with the menu, tables plans and place cards. But it’s the little touches such as our co-ordinating cupcake wrappers, napkin rings and favour boxes that will be remembered and talked about for years to come. Go on, tell your story.

Tip 3. Be bold with your colours. Creams and whites are still in, but big, bold, bright colours are the future. Teals, Fuchsia Pinks, Cadbury Purple, Royal Blue. Make a statement and get that “WOW” factor.

Tip 4. Make sure when ordering your wedding stationery you cater for any last minute changes to the guest list, or any spelling mistakes. Trust us when we say, we have had many brides call us up and ask for more invitations because “so and so” had made a spelling mistake. We recommended always ordering 10% more than you think you will need; in the long run it is cheaper for you!

Tip 5. Leave plenty of time to book for your stationery. Bride’s and Groom’s often leave this to last minute, but we think once you know your venue, dates and amount of guests, then stationery should be next on your list. Stationers get booked up well in advance, and you don’t want to be in the situation where you find your perfect stationery, but the designer is fully book and cannot accept your order. Our advice…sooner rather than later.

Wedding Stationary Brilliance

Lil’Guy Wedding Stationery

Kitty, owner and creator of 'Lil'Guy' Wedding Stationary - first started when planning her own wedding back in 2008. When she was completely unimpressed with the standard, lack of choice or even the cost of wedding stationary, she took it upon herself to create her own. After receiving plenty of praise for her creativity, she decided to launch www.lilguy.co.uk as a part time business alongside her day job.

Invitations are usually the first indication your guests will get as to what kind of a wedding you are having, whether it’s going to be a lavish formal occasion or a more relaxed one.

Kitty uses top quality and unusal boards, Grade A rhinestone buckles and embellishments, genuine Swarovski crystals, gorgeous ribbons and flowers to create different designs and styles, and it gives her great pleasure when couples receive their order and are thrilled with it! Which you can imagine after looking at her work.

Now Kitty runs her own business full time, no large company or franchise, you get her individual attention!

If you would like to discuss your requirements or get a quote you can contact Kitty by:

ADVICE FROM LIL'GUYS:
1. Make sure you book your stationer as soon as you know all the details as they do get booked up.  Don’t leave things to the last minute as sometimes the embellishments can be out of stock and take a while to arrive.

2. Give your guests a deadline date to respond to (in a nice way!) as this gives you a timeline to work to.  There are bound to be one or two guests who need to be ‘chivvied’ along, and your reception venue will also have a deadline for numbers.

3. If you’re having bespoke stationery chat to your stationer so that she can get a feel for your personality and style – and if the first draft isn’t quite to your liking don’t give up!  Try to give as much information as possible to help the process along, if you don’t like diamante ribbon slides or butterflies then saying so at the offset really does help.  Think about the style of card you would like – if you are going to be enclosing lots of additional information sheets then a wallet or pocket style is a good idea as all the information is kept together and doesn’t just fall out and get misplaced.

4. Having a colour scheme and/or theme for your day is  very effective when taken through to place name cards, table plan and table name/number cards, menu cards, favours and post box for congratulations cards.

5. For a small additional charge many stationers will insert the guest names into the invitation which will save you time and also looks very stylish.  You might also want to pay to have the envelopes addressed for you and have the invitation sent out.  Whatever you decide to do, if there is ANY doubt regarding whether or not the made and sealed invitation needs to be sent as a large letter, pay the additional cost.  It would be a false economy to have beautiful invitations only to have them held up in a sorting office – not to mention costly to sort the problem out!
